PROGRAMSProduction and Operations Management, Purchasing and Materials Management are two options of the Business Administration Major leading to B.S. Degree. They provide students with in-depth knowledge of the newest conceptual tools, world-class management approaches, and modern developments in operations and purchasing management. Special attention is given to operations and purchasing management in service and government organizations, and large-scale complex systems. Students will also receive balanced exposure in management science, accounting, finance, economics, marketing, human resources, and computer information systems by completing the lower-division and upper-division core requirements. Students who are selecting Production and Operations Management, or Purchasing and Materials Management as their option, should take Mgmt. 3620 Introduction to Production and Operations Management as a core class in the upper-division requirements. If students wish to complete more than one option, for example in Production and Operations Management and Accounting, and have the additional option(s) recorded, each must differ by at least three course from any other option completed.
