Operations
Materials Society (OMS) was established in 1992 as a student
organization in the College of Business and Economics, CSUH. It is also an
affiliated student chapter of the Mission Peak Chapter of APICS (American
Production and Inventory Control Society) and Northern California Chapter of
ISM (The Institute of Supply Management).
The main goal
of OMS is to:
Bridge the gap between the academic word
and the "real world" of Operations and Supply Chain Management.
The OMS mission:
Provide
“cutting edge” knowledge of Operations and Materials Management through
“real world” exposure via prominent guest speakers, superb facility
tours and mutually beneficial professional organization partnerships.
Secure
the top regional multi-discipline career track jobs for our members through
a combination of high volume resume exposure, professional organization
networking, job workshops and individual counseling.
