Now General Manager (CEO) of Delvita, a subsidiary of the Delhaize Group (Fortune 500). Formerly Trade & Economic Commissioner regarding Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, and Cambodia for the Royal Belgian Embassy in Thailand;
Ph.D., Sofia University for World Economics, Bulgaria.

Dr. Van den Berghe is a specialist in Asian Business, particularly Southeast Asia. He was formerly the Flemish Commercial Envoy for Southeast Asia. He has been responsible for official actions of the Belgian government in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, and Korea. He has also been responsible for research on various Southeast Asian markets. He has taught at both Bangkok University and Thammasat University in Thailand. Dr. Van den Berghe is particularly attuned to the institutions and cultures that set Asian Business apart from business in other parts of the world. He has published two books on the role of cultural factors in forming business strategy.
