Awards and Scholarships

DESCRIPTION One $500 scholarship available to students with majors in the College of Business & Economics. CRITERIA Must be of junior standing and will be enrolled at CSU East Bay in Fall 2010 AND Winter and Spring 2011. (See #5 under "Required Materials" below.) Must have 36 or more quarter units completed at CSU East Bay by the end of Winter 2010. A GPA of 3.75 or better over the units completed at CSU East Bay. Must attend the CBE Awards & Scholarships Presentation and Reception on Friday, May 14, 2010. REQUIRED MATERIALS The application form is on the College of Business & Economics web site at http://www.cbe.csueastbay.edu/scholarships/forms/2010-2011-menzies-application-form.doc. A personal statement. A list of extracurricular activities in which you have participated while in college—e.g., student organizations in which you are, or have been, a member and any officer positions that you hold or have held. Two (2) letters of recommendation. The letters should be from CSU East Bay instructors, if possible. A signed statement indicating that if you are awarded the Menzies Scholarship, you will be enrolled at CSU East Bay in Fall 2010 and Winter and Spring 2011. A printout of your unofficial transcript from "My CSUEB."
