Awards and Scholarships

DESCRIPTION One or two $3000 scholarships for full-time students in the College of Business & Economics. Additional information on FEI may be found on the web at FEI.org. CRITERIA Must be a full-time student with an option in accounting or finance. Must be a junior or continuing senior (graduating December 2010 or later). Must demonstrate strong academic performance and leadership. Must attend the CBE Awards & Scholarships Presentation and Reception on Friday, May 14, 2010, and should be able to attend the FEI Awards Banquet in Fall 2010 (Silicon Valley Chapter). REQUIRED MATERIALS The application form is on the College of Business & Economics web site at http://www.cbe.csueastbay.edu/scholarships/forms/2010-2011-fei-application-form.doc A resume. A personal statement (2 pages maximum) that should include a summary of the following:  important finance/accounting principles learned; what leadership skills have been demonstrated; plans immediately after graduation; current thoughts on career plans 5-10 years after graduation; and what benefits an FEI scholarship would bring to you. A printout of your unofficial transcript from "My CSUEB." OPTIONAL MATERIALS Up to two (2) letters of recommendation, preferably from CSUEB instructors. Prior to selection, a committee of FEI members will interview the top candidates on campus.
