Welcome to the Department of
Marketing & Entrepreneurship!

What we are known for:
A principal foundation of the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship
continues to be the interaction between and among faculty, students, and the
business community. We are known for our excellence in teaching, applied
research, and in consulting effectiveness.
Mission:
The mission of the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship is to help
graduate and undergraduate students to acquire theoretical and practical
knowledge and skills relevant to marketing and entrepreneurship in domestic and
international market. Marketing and Entrepreneurship play critical roles in the
success of organizations of various types and sizes.
Trends that drive us:
A number of important trends are molding and reshaping the role of marketing
and entrepreneurship
in today's business environment. Some of the leading trends include compressed
product life cycles, market maturation and commoditization, power shift in the
market place, environmental imperatives, technological advances, and
intensified global competition.
The influence of these and other forces in the environment has made it clear the
essence of business strategy has to start with a deep understanding of the
customers. The primary goal of organizations, profit or nonprofit, will be to
stay competitive through successful implementation of market-oriented
strategies, that is, by "Doing the Right Thing Right."
Satisfying customers:
It is through the people involved in marketing that an organization maintains
its relationship with the target customers and accomplishes its objective - to
Profitably Satisfy Customers. Marketing bears the totality in the process of
creating, delivering, and communicating
the value that is intended to satisfy the target customers. It is a very
crucial function of any organization.
Creating a Win-Win Situation:
The Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship will continue to work towards
advancing our key constituents: students, faculty, managers, business
communities, and community at large, through the discipline of Marketing and
Entrepreneurship. We believe that all of the Department's constituents must
have a close partnership to meet the educational needs in Marketing and
Entrepreneurship and to create a mutually win-win situation. Together we can
ensure our relevant substance in today's challenging business environment.
