The mission of the Cal State East Bay Center for Economic Education
is to provide and promote quality economic education programs and materials.
We work toward this goal by:
- conducting workshops for teachers here and abroad
- providing support for a stock market simulation for students
- maintaining a library of economic education resource materials
- undertaking research in the field of economic education
- developing economics curriculum materials
The Center is affiliated with the Council for Economic Education and is part of a national network of economists and educators
dedicated to increasing economic understanding in the local, national,
and international communities.
Jane S. Lopus, Ph.D., is professor of economics
and director of the Center for Economic Education at Cal State. For information about current programs, contact
