Professor Charlene Abendroth

(1950-2008)

Professor Abendroth was our faculty advisor for four years and for over 30 years she taught us accounting. As faculty advisor, she was truly devoted to our organization. She was always there to offer us sound advice and she gave us her undivided attention. She really cared about our club and its members. As instructor, she shared her incredible knowledge about accounting and inspired us to excel in whatever we do. She instilled in us that hard work pays off. She encouraged us to set a good example for others. She encouraged us at all times, to maintain high ethical standards. It is with deep sadness that we share that Professor Charlene Abendroth and her husband, Ernie Scherer, were found dead on Friday, March 14, 2008. The tragic event has been covered in numerous news media.

Professor Abendroth was an inspiration to all of us. We will forever have fond memories of all the good times we shared. May her and her husband's soul rest in peace, and may God bless their family.
